Following the fairly eccentric encounter posing for the group of pupils in the cold dimly lit bar in Manchester my next modelling session soon after was quite more normal

One of my original e-mails, when I was looking for opportunities, was to a group run by the WEA near Chester and after some time the coach came back to me and asked me if I could do a session for her on a Wednesday afternoon starting at 1:00 and running through to 4:00.
While I was really happy to accept the request it did fairly concern me as to whether I had enough expertise to fill that length of time with enough distinct poses given that this was a more formal and educational group compared to the preceding sessions I'd done.
After an exchange of emails the tutor and I concurred a rough programme for the session which will begin with a series of about five poses of one minute each, followed by two or three standing presents lasting between five and fifteen minutes and a few seated poses lasting around twenty minutes. beach bum would then result in a short break to be followed by a single seated pose continuing for the remainder of the session of about 50 minutes.
This at least gave me a chance to think about what I should do and also a chance to try a few poses at home while timing myself to find out how long I could hold them. While not always an issue for the seated poses, the more dynamic standing poses can prove to be difficult and sometimes even painful with arms and or legs held in unusual positions for any length of time beginning to hurt or cramp up.
So beach blondes turned up at the appointed time on the day and confirmed the planned programme with the coach and did the session as concurred. The artists, mostly ladies of a certain age, were all very nice and were all quite complimentary, which given that this was only my third session, gave me added confidence for the future.
beach babes should have been a success as, before I left the studio that afternoon, the coach had requested me to return for two more sessions a month later.
Luckily I had several art books and also scoured the internet to find a great number different poses that I really could use, so I managed to fill the sessions satisfactorily.
Since then I have been working with the coach for this particular group on a regular basis and have posed for almost twenty sessions. Luckily there has been some change in the artists attending over that point so I've really been able to repeat some of the poses more or less as I originally performed them or with only slight variation.)
