beach bum and friends have nicknamed me El Greedo. Theres something about these small tasty snacks that may tempt me to spend more than if I'd gone for a full blown meal.
This winter has been a really busy time for the resorts in the Canaries. Of course mainland Europe can be a bit cold for shedding our clothes in the wintertime. Although I've had reports of some odd sunny days in Spain should you get in a sheltered spot the weather is not guaranteed till later on in springtime.
The superb resort of Eagle Peak run by Peter Pledger is doing exceedingly well and is getting many repeat bookings. Also the Skinny Dippers resort on Majorca is attracting many repeat customers run by Grant and Jordi.
I have just got back from a "Busmans Naturist Holiday" visiting our Fuerteventura and Lanzarote resorts. Arriving on the island of Fuerteventura we picked up the hire car and headed south to the great naturist resort of Monte Marina along with the Hotel Marina Playa. After saying our hellos to Susanne Duffner and her mother and father who own this glorious place it was off to the fantastic cliff top restaurant for our late evening meal. We stayed in the hotel rooms this time which had amazing sea views over the Playa Esquinzo beach. beach babes of the resort now has a great new sauna for the guests use. Breakfast the next morning was taken again on the restaurant patio together with the beautiful ocean view and beach below.
Our next port of call was the tranquil El Cotillo fishing village on the north west shore. This village is famous for the beautiful blue water lagoons and white sand beaches. We were staying in the Cotillo Sunset apartments that are right on one of the lagoon beaches and are blessed not only with a swimming pool but in addition a hot tub although for cloth use only. nudism from the ocean facing flat patios are amazing .Opposite this complex is the La Concha beach and lagoon where the outstanding beach bar/eatery does a roaring trade. This beach tends to be a combination of naturist and cloths but just a little further north towards the lighthouse the next lagoon has a tendency to be fully naturist and when we were there I assume there must have been at least 50 nude couples and families.
We set off for Corralejo which is about a twenty minute drive from Cotillo to go to the "Gallery" which is a much sort after property for naturist needing a private villa with pool yet only a couple of metres from the clothes optional "Flag Beach". When we arrived our second hire car was waiting for us for our 40 minute journey to Charco del Palo which is the hamlet in the north east of the island. Charco is a village of around 500 properties that range from studios on complexes with pools to luxurious private villas. beach gallery seen had a lift inside that travelled via an amazing circular library from the ground floor indoor pool to the living accommodation on the upper floors. Other villas like Villa Stropek and also the two Casa Rondas are available for rent and have a committed client base who book year upon year. The ocean front apartments and bungalows at Charco are always in great demand. Sitting on beach gallery can frequently see dolphins leaping out of the water.
Our next stop away was the fantastic Famara beach where the wild seas in many cases are crowded with surfers and kite surfers. Its fine to be nude on the beach and have something interesting to observe while catching the beams. Famara has some really good seafood restaurants and bars overlooking the sea. El Risco eatery which seems a bit dodgy is named after the 2000 foot mountain range just behind the seashore. The food is anything but high-risk and is freshly caught that day.
beach gallery and bungalows have separate terraces that are private enough for sunbathing.
