Sailing Naked

Maybe one of the best experiences an individual can have would be to sail nude. There are several reasons for this. The first is that should one be able to sail unclothed then the weather would have to be warm and sunny to make the prospect inviting, additionally if one is able to sail, then some wind will probably be making itself know as well as the boat will be leaning to it . Even in colder climes when I've needed to wear clothing to ward off the elements I never tire of the wonder that's a sailing vessel simply utilizing the wind to drive through the ocean. Sorry I digress, anyhow another factor, ( unless one is a serious exhibitionist) is that there WOn't be a lot of other vessels around and for me an empty sea is a joyful sea. If there are other people on board, then if ones relationship to them WOn't be strained by sharing this kind of intimate encounter, it might even be enhancing.
Sailing can be a physically demanding pastime, frequently one has to move quickly, its not until one has had the pleasure of going without clothing does one realise how confining garments are. When I was on my way (singlehanded) back across the Atlantic in my beaten up schooner "Gloria" the most efficient sail was one that went by the name of "the fishermans" this four sided stone went at the top between both masts and was astonishingly powerful in light airs. nudism was that as soon as the wind piped up it had to come down. But to be able to drop it two halliards (the ropes that pull up or lower a sail) had to be used at exactly the same time, as there was only one of me and my invisible friend was proving useless at deck work, the sail would get the wind behind it and flap up and tear itself. I'd grown very tired of this caper as well as the following sewing up of tears that came of it. This one special time it did it, the entire sail drifted forward and wrapped itself around the foremast top, I knew that in an extremely brief time it'd be torn beyond repair and I scaled the mast to free it. It actually was a revelation. How well beach party would decrease in Solent sailing circles I dont know, I daresay the RYA and health and safety would have at least something to say on the matter!
Another marvelous thing about only wearing ones skin is it is an inescapable section of sailing that from time to time a bit of the wet things will throw itself at you. In case you are wearing clothes they are going to get wet, and as its sea water, the salt will then quit the garments from ever correctly drying until it's rinsed with fresh water. Fresh water may be very valuable on a sailing boat far from land, it's not to be squandered in rinsing out clothing. So if one doesn't wear any, it doesn't get dirty and need washing does it? Along with beach freedom gets a nice even tan, what could be better?)
