Overwolf The guild for game creators, has launched a new tool for modding creators to use in games like Minecraft, World of Warcraft and more - the CurseForge API. This program allows modders to distribute their mods directly through the internet. It also offers a variety of possibilities for gaming communities to share content online.

This new system will give creators more control over their work, especially with regards to distribution through third parties. Authors are now able to consent to distribution outside of CurseForge. This lets them control the way their content is distributed and protects the monetisation via the Authors Rewards points system.

Modders aren't the only ones to benefit from the CurseForge API. The new terms and conditions of service agreement will open up a wide range of possibilities for users who access the system. This includes mod managers, discord bots, and other gaming community projects which will allow the system to grow and help gamers in innovative ways.

CurseForge API already approves 217 applications including 42 bots and 25 analytics tools. There are also nine general modding tools, as well as 11 modpack creation tools. As more users get know the product, this number of applications will continue to grow exponentially. If you'd like to apply to join the platform, you can do so here. DOWNLOAD FREE
