- Fixed a critical security flaw that allowed attackers code on other's devices (RCE exploit). This can be done via in game messaging or other methods. The game logs a certain exploitable text as $jndi ://, because of an upstream vulnerability in the log.

Fog:

To make distant terrain more visible, world fog is now further away from the player. - Instead of applying fog as a spherical volume it is now applied as a cylindrical volume.

Additions

- Music Disc - Added a new music disc from Lena Raine titled "otherside". - Found in rare cases in stronghold corridor chests and much less frequently in dungeon boxes. - The disc's outer ring is blue and green.

The world generation:

Caves – Completely renovated. - Now, the caves can be reached down to Y=-59 Depending on the depth of the caves, there are now two layers of different stone bases. - The layer above the Y=8 mark is made of regular stone. - Stone transitions to deepslate from Y=8 to Y=0. - Deepslate replaces all stone, from Y=0 up to bedrock. Deepslate still produces certain types of ores, structures, and tuff and gravel. This layer does not support dirt, diorite granite, and andesite.

- Aquifers below 0. sometimes produce with lava rather than water.

Cheese caves often have large stone towers that extend from the bottom to the top of the cave. These towers are large enough to allow safe elytra flying. Spaghetti caves, which are longer and thinner than original caves, have smaller aquifers. Noodle caves can be thinner, squigglier and more claustrophobic than the original spaghetti caves.

- Available in 6 subbiomes.

- Generates in plateaus and the lowest layers of some mountains, usually near plains and other temperate biomes. - Includes tall grass, grass, dandelions. Azure bluets. cornflowers. poppies. daisies. Alliums. Birch and oak trees are not likely to appear in this biome. - Only rabbits, donkeys, and sheep spawn in this biome. This biome is home to both plain villages and pillager-outposts.

- Generates in the slopes of a snowy mountain when next to forested biomes. It is similar to a snowy taiga but with a more snowy surface and powdered snow instead of grass blocks. - Rabbits, wolves, foxes, sheep, pigs, chickens and cows spawn in this biome. - Pillager outposts can generate in this biome.

- Generates on the slopes, or in snowy tundra, of a mountain. - Covered with snow, snow block, or powder snow. - Only rabbits and goats spawn in this biome. - Igloos and pillager outposts can generate in this biome.

- One among three biomes that are found in the mountain peaks. - Covered in snow, snow blocks and stone. - Can produce sharp and jagged peaks when there are snowy, cold and temperate biomes. - Only goats spawn in this biome. This biome can be populated by pillar outposts.

- One of three biomes that generate in the mountain peaks. - Covered with snow, snow blocks and ice. - Generally generates smoother and more rounded peaks in areas that have cold, snowy, or temperate biomes. This biome is only suitable for goat spawning. This biome can also be used to generate pillar outposts.

- One biome that generates in the mountain tops. - Covered in gravel, stone, and calcite strips. - Tends to generate in any peak surrounded by warm biomes such as jungles and savannas, to avoid temperature clashes. This biome does not support any animals. This biome can be generated by Pillager outposts.

- Long and rare ore formations. - Copper veins are formed when copper ore is mixed with granite, blocks of raw copper, and other minerals. - Iron ore veins containing tuff and blocks containing raw iron generate below the Y=0.

Upgrading of old worlds

Terrain from new pieces will now blend with terrain from old pieces. These chunks will have any player-made structures intact, buried, and deteriorated. The old layer of rock between Y=0 to Y=4 in old chunks is replaced by deepslate. - If there is bedrock at Y=0 the new world generation will produce lower places under the non-air block in older chunks. Y=-64 is the location of a new layer of bedrock.

Command format

/jfr

- When enabled, begins profiling with Java FlightRecorder, as well as the following custom events: - minecraft.ServerTickTime: Sampling event exposing average server tick times in intervals of a second - minecraft.ChunkGeneration: Time taken to generate individual chunk stages - minecraft.PacketRead / minecraft.PacketSent: Network traffic - minecraft.WorldLoadFinishedEvent: Initial world loading duration

- Advancements – Added 4 new advancements: Caves & Cliffs – Fall from the Top to the Bottom of the Overworld.

- Ride a strider on lava for 50 blocks in the Overworld.

- You can play music with a jukebox within a meadow biome.

- Trade at the maximum build height limit with a villager

- Triggered when a player falls - ride_entity_in_lava. - Triggered every tick when a player rides in lava.

- Debug screen - Three new lines added: Multinoise (biome builder), and terrain. - Only if the dimension in question uses the multinoise biome source types. Multinoise lists parameters used at the player’s position to place a particular biome. C is continentalness, E erosion, T temperature, H humidity, and W weirdness. - Continentalness goes up as you go more inland. Oceans can be generated in areas where there is low continentality. - Erosion determines how flat or mountainous terrain is. Higher values indicate flatter terrain, while lower values indicate more mountainous areas. - Temperature and humidity have no impact on the terrain itself, and only determine biome placement. Weirdness indirectly drives the noise of PV (peaks, valleys), and determines which Biome variant is placed.

Font

- Added illageralt, the rune-like font from Minecraft Dungeons. - Currently, this font is only available via commands

"One More Day" is played in the meadow, snowy slopes, and lush caves biomes. It can also be found on the menu screen. NBT tags

Spawners now possess a CustomSpawnRules tags, which allows them override the rules of the spawned mab. - In the tag, players can specify BlockLightLimit, which indicates the highest block-light the spawners will spawn mobs at.

Options

- Can now disable lightning flashes. This stops lightning from making the sky flash. Lightning bolts will still be visible. - The device the game outputs audio to can now be chosen in-game. - Added "Chunk Builder", to video settings. - This determines which chunk sections are updated simultaneously in a single frame. There are three options: Fully Blocking is the way chunk sections were updated prior to 21w37a. Semi Blocking and Threaded reduce stuttering while placing and removing blocks. However, the last two options could cause some visual delays in world update updates.

- Entities, blocks, and fluids cannot be updated beyond the simulation distance. Allows for higher render distance and lower CPU load. Lower limit: 5 chunks

- The indicator appears in the bottom right of the screen whenever the game is saving the world file. - Defaults to on.

- The "Realms Notifications” option was moved to this screen. - Contains the new "Allow Server Listings" option. - Player names that have been deactivated will not appear in online player listings.
