The mobile version of Minecraft - also known as Minecraft: Pocket Edition - is being developed to allow for major changes literally. Developer Mojang announced on its website that its team is "restructuring the majority of the code to allow substantially larger worlds to be created in future upgrades," and also tweaked the AI of the creatures and inventory systems, and other details.

Mojang stated that Pocket Edition updates will not be released until the end of the year. SURVIVAL This sentence is thought to be written while stroking a fluffy cat or on the Death Star.

Mojang is also "pausing" access to the Pocket Realms beta, which allows for persistent worlds to be stored on private servers. "The Realms team is currently focused on the release of PC Realms," Mojang wrote. "Once that's done, we'll be better positioned to work on Pocket Realms and make it as great as it could be, which will be later this year." The pause is scheduled to take effect on March 1.
