The "physics destruction simulator" Teardown's release date is confirmed and the indie game is moving out of Steam Early Access later this month. The voxel-based sim is basically the anti- Minecraft , where the aim is destruction rather than creation and Teardown 1.0 will be released very soon and will not be accompanied by a price increase, as it appears.

Developer Tuxedo Labs has confirmed that Teardown, the part-puzzle adventure and all-destruction sim is being removed from Early Access. However, it will be available for $19.99 / PS18.49. The full Teardown single-player campaign was launched back in December which is why it's not too surprising that the final release will be just a few days after it.

Teardown is an actual heist game with the aim of achieving a nefarious objective through creative destruction. Of course, there's also an extensive sandbox game mode where players can slash up entire levels in a variety of satisfying ways. The final version comes with "extensive mod support" and Steam Workshop integration", which already boasts over 2,000 items created by users - comprising everything from Minecraft pickaxes to black hole launchers, as well as maps based on Five Night's At Freddy's.

Teardown release date

Teardown will be removing Steam Early Access on April 21st, 2022. It will be available at $19.99 and PS18.49, the same price it's been for the past several years. To get a sense of the idea behind it, check out the teaser trailer for Teardown 1.0 below.
