The Survival Game Vintage Story Receives an Official Mod Database And Improved Wayland Support

Out for your next survival game that isn't Valheim? Do give Vintage Story a go, that on the surface appears like Minecraft but is far more exciting and more mechanically. Minecraft crafting



This is a minor change to the previous release but there are some fun things to look forward to. Mod Database Mod Database is one of the most significant improvements. This database allows players to upload mods to download. They say it will eventually be integrated with the game client to "blur the lines between what vanilla content is and what modified content is" (if you choose to use it).



While the rest of this update is a few minor adjustments and fixes, their support for Linux continues to shine. Linux gamers will see an improvement in Wayland support. They have upgraded the version of OpenTK that they use, as well as some extra Wayland fixes that should improve mouse support there. You can read the complete changelog here.

The next major update to 1.15 is intriguing. It will include "excellent work to improve performance across a variety of important areas of the game" and new music.
